Magnetic Plasmon Resonances and Optical Activity

Abstract

Novel type of optical activity due to magnetic plasmon resonances is demonstrated for a first time. A linearly polarized light is shown to change polarization after passing through a metamaterial made of coupled magnetic dimers.
