Multi-Photon Route to Ultraviolet Nanowire Lasers

Abstract

Multi-photon absorption pumped ultraviolet ZnO nanolasers were demonstrated with femtosecond pulses at room temperature. Time resolved photoluminescence revealed that the exciton collision effect played an important role in the nonlinear lasing mechanisms.
