Initial dynamics of supercontinuum generation in highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber

Abstract

We analyze supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal fibers (PCF) composed of Schott-SF6 glass with experiments and simulation. We present for the first time the Raman response function of SF6 and validate theory with experimental data.
