9 dB Quadrature Squeezing at 860 nm with Periodically-Poled KTiOPO4

Abstract

We generate a squeezed vacuum state at 860 run with a periodically-poled KTiOPO4 crystal as a nonlinear medium of an optical parametric oscillator. We observe –9.0 ± 0.2 dB of squeezing with local oscillator phase locked.
