Generation of 1.5-μm Band Polarization Entanglement Using Silicon Wire Waveguide

Abstract

We present the first experimental generation of 1.5-μm band polarization entanglement based on spontaneous four-wave mixing in a silicon wire waveguide. Two-photon interference fringes with >83% visibilities were successfully obtained.
