Abstract
Time resolved photoemission is employed to study Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ. The photoexicted electrons dissipate their energy on two distinct timescales (110 fs and 2 ps). This is attributed to the generation and subsequent decay of non-equilibrium phonons, respectively.
