Observation of Four-Wave Mixing Conversion Efficiency and Bandwidth in Silicon Photonic Crystal Waveguides

Abstract

We present observations of slow-light enhanced four-wave mixing in silicon photonic crystal waveguides (11-dB enhancement in idler conversion efficiency), with a corresponding reduction in conversion bandwidth due to increased group velocity dispersion.
