Circularly-Polarized Resonances at the Photonic Band-edge of Chiral Liquid Crystal Microcavities

Abstract

Narrow, circularly-polarized microcavity resonances were observed for the first time in the fluorescence at the photonic band-edge of glassy chiral liquid crystal microcavities both undoped and doped with quantum dots irradiated by a cw-laser beam.
