Intracavity Second Harmonic Generation in Quantum Cascade Lasers Pumped by Femtosecond Mid-IR Pulses

Abstract

Room temperature second harmonic generation at λ=2.2 µm has been obtained from a 4.5 µm quantum cascade laser resonantly pumped by TM or TE polarized λ=4.5 µm femtosecond pulses through the front facet.
