Observation of strong coupling through transmission modification of a cavity-coupled photonic crystal waveguide

Abstract

We observe a transparency in the transmission spectrum of a photonic crystal cavity mode coupled to a waveguide due to the presence of a strongly coupled quantum dot in the cavity. At high pump powers the QD is saturated, and the bare cavity spectrum is recovered.
