Abstract

We investigate the eigenmodes of a traveling wave phase sensitive optical parametric amplifier. We observe gain (deamplification) of 11.4 dB (−7.9 dB) for a Laguerre Gaussian LG00 mode with >95% overlap with the fundamental eigenmode.
