Abstract

We present a strategy to perform phase estimation protocols in the presence of noisy detectors. This approach involves coherent and single photon states as input signals, and phase sensitive amplification after the interaction with the sample and before detection losses. By adopting the amplification stage, the accuracy of the protocol can reach the performances of a lossless probe state even in presence of imperfect detectors.
