Second Order Nonlinear Optics with Surface Plasmon Polaritons Gap Waveguides

Abstract

Surface plasmon polariton gap waveguides are shown to provide both confinement and phasematching in the three wave nonlinear optical interactions opening exiting possibilities for efficient on chip frequency conversion and parametric generation.
