Coupled Metallic Thin-Film/Nanoparticle-Array Systems for Far-Field Engineering of Quantum-Well Luminescence

Abstract

Metal nanostructures consisting of coupled Ag films and nanoparticle arrays are fabricated, characterized via measurements of their plasmonic dispersion curves, and used to demonstrate collimation of the emitted light from nitride quantum wells.
