Resonant excitation linewidth narrowing of quantum dots emission

Abstract

We show that weak off-resonance light can increase the brightness of a resonantly excited quantum dot transition and reduce its inhomogeneous linewidth, thus improves the photons indistinguishability and the scope of quantum information applications.
