Long-range distribution of multiphoton entanglement

Abstract

We propose a long-distance quantum communication protocol based on multiphoton bipartite entanglement and photon-number-resolved detection, which shows remarkable robustness to high transmission losses and offers near-maximally entangled states in realistic implementations.
