Abstract

A quantum capacitor (QC) is described for imaging applications, which is based on manipulations of the chemical potential of interacting two-dimensional Fermion systems (2DFS), embedded in a metal-semiconductor-metal structure. Deposition of optically-generated carriers alters the energy landscape of the 2DFS and gauged in a QC.
