Holographic dynamics simulations with a trapped ion quantum computer

Abstract

Using a trapped ion quantum computer, we experimentally demonstrate a tensor-network-based algorithm that simulates the dynamics of infinite-size quantum sys-tems by re-using qubits in the middle of the calculation.
