Abstract

Substantial effort has been recently dedicated to the study of the infrared nonlinear optical properties of the intersubband transitions (IST) in different quantum well structures. The large oscillator strength of 1ST gives it a great potential application in infrared nonlinear optical devices, such as detection and frequency conversion. In this work, we extensively investigated the nonlinear optical susceptibilities due to the IST’s in different bands and the comparison with band-to-band transition is also made.
