Multimode photonics for high-quality non-gaussian state generation

Abstract

We show that multimode photonic states are prominent resources for generating high-quality and large-amplitude non-gaussian states such as Schrödinger cat and GKP states. Both heralded and iterative schemes can benefit from this multiplexing capability.
