Quantum Key Distribution in Daylight with an Adjustable Spatial Filter

Abstract

Quantum key distribution (QKD) remains extremely challenging in daylight. We developed an adjustable spatial filter and demonstrated kbps-rate entanglement-based QKD over 1.7 km in direct sunlight. We investigated its potential to further optimize system performance.
