Spectroscopy of Magnons and Optical Satellite Lines in a Rare-Earth Antiferromagnet Towards Quantum Transduction

Abstract

We perform microwave and optical spectroscopy on Nd3+-ions in an antiferromagnetically ordered NdGaO3 crystal. We see collective excitation of Nd3+-spins at microwave frequencies and satellite lines in the optical spectra with narrow inhomogeneous linewidths.
