Temperature Dependent Laser Performance of Tm, Ho Doped Crystal: Theory

Abstract

A model for a longitudinally end-pumped co-doped solid-state laser is developed and applied to Tm, Ho codoped laser to identify the temperature dependent laser performance. The simplified calculation shows that the slope efficiency of the Tm, Ho doped lasers does not depend on temperature. Also the threshold pump power dependence on the temperature is very weak.
