All-Optical Delay Line Using Semiconductor Cavity Solitons

Abstract

A novel approach to all-optical delay line based on lateral drift of cavity solitons in semiconductor micro-resonators is experimentally demonstrated. Delay-bandwidth product obtained compares well with the ones obtained in 'slow-light' based delay lines.
