Observation of large 8-Gb/s SBS slow light delay with low distortion using an optimized gain profile

Abstract

We obtain over 3 pulse widths SBS slow light delay for an input pulse width of 125 ps. By optimizing the gain profile, the output-to-input pulse width ratio is less than 2.
