Influence of slow light effect in semiconductor amplifiers on the dynamic range of microwave-photonics links

Abstract

We propose a theoretical and experimental analysis of the dynamic range of a SOA-based photonic-microwave link. The dynamic range is found constant versus RF frequency, in particular near the gain dip associated with slow light effects.
