Abstract

A Fabry-Perot modulator, consisting of an InGaAs-GaAs multiple quantum well cavity is integrated with a Surface-Acoustic-Wave (SAW) transducer, which creates strain-induced birefringence and results in higher-contrast, is proposed for SLM application.
