Abstract

The magneto-optic spatial light modulator1-3 (MOSLM), commercially available through Semetex Corporation, consists of a one or two dimensional array of electrically addressable pixels which affect the polarization state of transmitted light. This paper provides an overall background on the device and reports improvements in optical transmission, contrast ratio, and frame rate.
