Abstract
An optically addressable spatial light modulator (OASLM) allows for the conversion of an incoherent intensity distribution to the phase distribution of a coherent beam that reads out the OASLM. This way, coherent optical operations can be applied to the information originating from an arbitrary light source. In our contribution we present an observation system where an OASLM is used for the introduction of an image to an optical image processing system. We will demonstrate novelty filtering, contrast inversion, and shearing interferometry.
