Relating DC-Field to Induced Nonlinear Susceptibility in Periodically Poled Silica Fiber

Abstract

The relationship between DC-fields and effective second order nonlinearity is investigated. DC-induced processes are modeled and fitted against equivalent natural second order processes. Insight is provided into the disparity between bulk glass and poled fiber.
