Observation of Background Fluorescence in a Poled Fiber

Not Accessible

Abstract

We observe broadband fluorescence (1260-1610 nm) in a periodically-poled silica fiber pumped at 775 nm; it is a noise contribution to correlated photon pair generation. The fluorescence is significantly lower in an identical, but unpoled, fiber.
