Mode-Resolved Gain Analysis of a 7-Core Fiber Laser Based on Multi-Supermode Interference

Abstract

A supermode interference monolithic fiber laser utilizing optical gain from several supermodes amplified in an Yb-doped 7-core fiber is investigated. In addition, we present mode-resolved gain measurements providing insight on the laser dynamics.
