Abstract
By manipulating interference of continuous lightwave, Brillouin-scattering distribution along an optical fiber is measured to obtain strain and/or temperature information. Millimeter-order spatial resolution, kHz-order sampling-rate, random accessibility, and strain-temperature discriminative distributed measurement have been demonstrated.
