Novel large-mode area fibers for high power fiber lasers

Abstract

We review all-solid trench-assisted fiber designs for mode-area scaling in flexible fibers. Our proposed fiber designs offer great potential for power scaling of monolithic single-mode fiber laser systems and for high-brightness laser beam delivery.
