Mid-Infrared Supercontinuum Generation and Self-Cleaning Dynamics in a Graded-Index Multimode Tellurite Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate the generation of a broadband supercontinuum spanning from 950 nm to 2900 nm with signatures of self-cleaning dynamics in a specially designed tellurite graded-index multimode fiber. Our results are the first to report such a large bandwidth and a quasi-Gaussian transverse intensity distribution in the mid-infrared regime.
