Nonlinear Digital Processing for Uncompensated Systems

Abstract

Digital nonlinear backpropagation provides a first estimate of the performance gains afforded by nonlinear signal processing for uncompensated systems. We discuss recent experimental investigations utilizing this technique for various modulation formats and WDM configurations.
