Spectral Shaping on DFT-OFDM for Higher Transmission Reach

Abstract

We investigate spectral shaping on DFT-OFDM and show that transmission reach can be significantly improved by 31% and 7% when compared to OFDM and DFT-OFDM for dispersion managed standard single mode fiber links.
