Abstract

A complementary (band-pass/band-rejection) optical filter with tunability ranging from 230 MHz to 20 GHz is proposed and numerically demonstrated using two feasible Bragg grating-based photonic Hilbert transformers incorporated into a Mach-Zehnder interferometer.
