396.5Gb/s, 7.93b/s/Hz Hybrid 16-32QAM Transmission over 480km SSMF

Abstract

Time domain hybrid QAM signals with different constellations have been compared. 396.458 Gbit/s PDM-16-32QAM WDM signals have been successfully transmitted over 480km SSMF fiber at a net SE of 7.93 b/s/Hz within 50GHz-grid.
