An Uplink Phase Modulation Scheme Based on MSK-OFDM for Next-Generation PON

Abstract

We propose an uplink phase modulation scheme based on MSK-OFDM for next-generation PON. 2.5Gbit/s CE-MSK-OFDM uplink has been implemented over 20km SSMF, achieving a BER performance of 10−4 when received optical power set at −19dBm.
