Channel-Shortening Equalizer for DMT Transmission in SI POF

Abstract

The throughput of discrete multitone modulation in step-index polymere optical fiber can be increased by several % using a channel-shortening equalizer. Minimax optimization is used to find the equalizer coefficients.
