Digital Compensation for Coupling Impairments of Coupled Traces in 100G PAM4 Data Center Connections

Abstract

We propose a new compensation technique for coupling impairments of high-speed analog traces in chip-to-chip and chip-to-module connectivity in data centers. This technique significantly improves the performance and enables 100G PAM4 transmission.
