Ultra-Wide-Bandwidth DAC Using a Digital Preprocessor and an Analog Multiplexer for Optical Systems

Abstract

We demonstrated a DAC with an analog bandwidth of >40 GHz based on two CMOS sub-DACs. An analog multiplexer and corresponding digital preprocessing scheme provided the bandwidth almost double that of each sub-DAC.
