DMT Modulation with Adaptive Bit-loading and Volterra Filter in an EML-Based IM-DD System

Abstract

We have experimentally demonstrated 36 Gb/s optical DMT signal transmitting over 50 km SSMF in an EML-based IM-DD system. Adaptive bit-loading and Volterra filter are applied to optimize the system performance.
