Abstract

We investigate the potential of using SDM-EON to handle foreseeable exhaustion of cur-rent network resources. We propose to utilize the combination of Slice-ability and Best-Fit RMCSA algorithm to decrease spectrum fragmentation due to contiguity constraint.
