Overlapping Estimation based on DBSCAN Algorithm in Nyquist-WDM Systems

Abstract

We propose a method to estimate the percentage of overlapping between optical channels based on DBSCAN algorithm applied to received symbols. We experimentally verified this method in a 3×16-Gbaud 16QAM Nyquist-WDM system.
