Higher Order Acousto-Optic Interaction in Two Mode Fiber in case of Intramodal and Intermodal Brillouin Scattering

Abstract

Multi-peak Brillouin gain spectrum is modeled for intramodal and intermodal Stimulated Brillouin scattering process. It shows that the SBS gain due to L1l modes in the intermodal process is significantly higher than of L0l modes.
