Transmitter frequency-dependent IQ imbalance characterization and pre-emphasis

Abstract

The detrimental effect of frequency-dependent IQ imbalance is analyzed via numerical simulations. A MIMO pre-emphasis based on pre-trained adaptive filters is proposed to compensate for the joint impact of cross-talk, skew and frequency response mismatch.
