Pre-compensation for Attenuation-induced Distortions in NFT-based Optical Fiber Communication with EDFA

Abstract

For nonlinear Fourier transform based communication over periodically amplified optical fiber links, we demonstrate a pre-compensation technique to minimize attenuation-induced distortions and thus significantly improve system performance.
