Scalable Multi-Core FPGA Design for Maximum Concurrency: The Case of KNN for ICI Mitigation

Abstract

We experimentally validate a multi-core FPGA design of the K-Nearest Neigh-bohr algorithm for interchannel interference mitigation in gridless Nyquist WDM networks. We successfully achieved a speed-up of 5.53X when using 7 instead of 1 core.
